Terri Brusseau – President and Lead Therapist
Master of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University
Bachelors of Science degree in Business / Advertising from Arizona State University
Terri has over 18 years experience in private outpatient orthopedics. She emphasizes manual techniques, along with core stabilization and efficient exercise programs, to achieve outstanding results. She believes in treating the individual as a whole; as well as addressing the specific needs of the patient. Terri has training in Maitland, Mulligan, McConnell, and Jackson Techniques. She has certificates from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM) in manual therapy and continues to up-date her skills annually. Terri has a wealth of hands-on experience with a variety of patients. She is active with her family, enjoys running, and has been training in Krav Maga for the past 3 years.
Ilseong Song – Staff Therapist
Ilseong first studied health sciences, including acupuncture, in Osaka Japan, where he completed his education of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and athletic training. After deciding he wanted to do more for his patients, Ilseong moved to San Diego in 2012 to begin his study and athletic training internship at UC San Diego. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at University of St. Augustine where he graduated with honors. Upon meeting Ilseong, you will immediately sense his compassion for people, enthusiasm for health, and knowledge about his profession. He combines both Eastern and Western medicines for the best possible patient care. Ilseong’s positive energy, and careful attention to each patient’s needs, makes him the perfect additional to Atala Physical Therapy.
Rossano Flores – Exercise Specialist
Ro has been a performance coach and corrective expertise specialist with 10+ years experience in the fitness industry. He is adept in training clients at all levels of fitness from high performance to rehab exercise. He holds multiple certifications including sport nutrition coaching and is currently pursuing his certification as a behavioral specialist from the American Council of Exercise. His hobbies are martial arts, hiking, camping and going on extreme vacations.
Julie Centanni – Exercise Specialist
Julie Centanni is a Midwesterner at heart. She is from Chicago, IL and is a big fan of all thing’s sports! She began her education as a Psychology major at Virginia Tech. During her time there she became interested in how the mind and body were affected by exercise. She then went on to get her master’s degree in Health, Exercise, and Sports Science at the University of the Pacific. At UOP Julie was able to teach and work with college athletes on maximizing their physical fitness levels to become the best athlete they could be.
After schooling, Julie began working at a retirement community as a wellness coordinator. This is where she realized her passion for helping others live their best quality of life. Julie found that by educating the residents on proper exercise, nutrition, and well-being, many of them could begin to live a pain free life. You will see Julie has a kind heart but don’t let that smile fool you, she means business when it comes to making you healthier and stronger than ever.
Amanda Malone – Patient Co-Ordinator
Amanda has worked in the medical field for 16 years. She has enjoyed working all different fields of the healthcare industry including pediatrics, dental, internal medicine, ophthalmology and physical therapy where she has worked for the last 11 years. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, going to the Colorado River, which has been a favorite annual tradition and loves her pet reptiles. She has a 5-foot long water monitor lizard namely “Little Foot”, that she likes to take on walks. Amanda is an avid musician and enjoys learning different types of music and has a passion to become a global DJ phenomenon.
Amanda is glad to be a part of the Atala Physical Therapy Team and she looks forward to helping them grow!
